The Flemington-Raritan Community Theater, now in its tenth year,
was founded in 1999 by Director, Kathleen Weaver. The theatre company
has expanded its offerings to several stage productions each year
including a fall youth production, a winter children’s performance
showcase, a spring adult production and a children’s summer workshop.
Under the sponsorship of the Flemington Raritan Recreation Committee,
FRCT’s productions are typically staged in various township school
auditoriums. The company is a “community experience” in that the
shows have been extremely well received and have attracted audiences
from Hunterdon, Somerset, Warren, Mercer and Morris counties. FRCT
is committed to bringing fun theatre to the area and to meeting the
growing demand for this type of venue for both adult and youth
performers.
As you can imagine, each production requires extensive planning and is
the result of the collaboration of many people with a myriad of talents,
including theatrical direction and characterization, vocal and
instrumental musical direction, art, costume design, makeup, set design
and construction, sound & lighting, production management,
administration, etc., all in an effort to enrich this wonderful,
multi-county community. Flemington-Raritan Community Theatre is
fortunate to have some very talented individuals interested in
contributing their time, talents and often their “treasures” to these
endeavors.
We are very
grateful for their efforts!
We invite you to join the fun! Come audition for a role, volunteer for
a “supporting role”, or simply attend one of
our performances. Be sure to bookmark this site and keep an eye on area
newspapers for information about future productions.
…and
thanks for visiting
